Trigger Work: Aversion to Success
A variety of shadow work prompts surrounding success that were channeled using tarot cards. The style of prompt is more confronting, and potentially triggering. It's better suited to advanced journaling practitioners.

Trigger Work is a term I use to describe the style of journaling prompts that convey prompts in a more confronting, potentially triggering, manner. This style of journaling is not for sensitive, or easily-triggered folks. This specific topic I channeled using Tarot card pulls from the Antique Anatomy tarot by Claire Goodchild.

Who this may better suit: Advanced journaling practitioners / People who like to hurt their own feelings / People who are trying to identify their own (possibly) skewed perspectives / People who want to look at not-so-comfortable sides of a subject / The people who are not love-and-light all the time

How to Approach This Exercise

You are welcome to explore these questions any way you see fit - you can answer all the questions, some of them, certain ones from certain cards, you can write them down, you can think to yourself. You can journal and work through them literally in whatever way you want that works for you. This is FOR YOU anyway, nobody needs to know how you did it and what your answers are. This is just an explorative exercise I want to share with the world in hopes it will be useful to someone.

In whatever way this is helpful to you, I am sincerely glad that you honoured and accepted my gift to the collective by showing up on this page. From one seeker to another, Thank You for being present 🙂
